Government Contracts Assistant

 

We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented professional to join our Sales team. The primary responsibility of this role is to apply to Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and other procurement opportunities with U.S. government agencies with the objective of closing sales for Glass Commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate and compelling bid responses in a timely manner for a wide range of government RFQs, RFPs, and tenders
  • Continuously monitor government procurement portals and market trends to identify relevant bidding opportunities that align with our products and services
  • Develop effective bid strategies, including pricing, proposal content, and presentation, to maximize the chances of winning contracts
  • Work closely with our Sales and Supply teams to gather the necessary information and insights required for bid preparation
  • Ensure that all bid submissions adhere to government regulations, compliance standards, and any specific requirements outlined in the RFQ
  • Maintain detailed records of all bid submissions, outcomes, and feedback to inform future bid strategies
  • Participate in negotiations with government agencies, if required, to secure favorable terms and contracts
  • Provide regular reports on bidding activities, successes, and challenges to the our Sales leadership

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in applying for and winning government bids or contracts is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of U.S. government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to analyze bid documents, understand customer requirements, and develop winning bid strategies
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple bid opportunities concurrently
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to create persuasive bid responses
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and compliant bid submissions
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing bid opportunities
  • Proficiency in using bid management softwares and Google Docs Suite
  • Ability to work with agile teams remotely
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a creative mindset
